What does the Contour Cube do?
The uniquely designed Contour Cube is the original ice facial tool, designed by Australian entrepreneur, Sarah Forrai. Sarah’s mum introduced her to ice facials as her anti aging secret, but Sarah struggled doing them herself holding freezing and slippery ice cubes. Sarah looked everywhere for a tool that could easily grip the ice and fit the contours of her face without freezing her fingers off, but when she realised nothing like it existed, in true entrepreneurial spirit, she decided to take matters into her own hands and designed and created the first-ever, revolutionary facial tool.
Designed with the purpose of rubbing ice water, or other frozen mixtures, over the contours of your face to emphasize cheekbones and jawlines, de-puff morning bloat, and calm acne break-outs, Contour Cube comes in two sizes, the contour cube original and the mini and in a variety of chic colours to brighten up your beauty regimen, including – our personal favourite – marble!

What are the benefits of skin icing?
Ice cube facial massages with the contour cube involve exposing the skin to an ice block which glides over the face for less than a minute and is designed to fit the contours of your face, offering several incredible benefits, including:
Reduce puffiness
The cold temperature helps constrict blood vessels, reducing puffiness and swelling, add some lemon to your ice cubes as lemon ice cubes work especially well in the morning to add radiance to your skin – add this to your skincare routine.
Cosmetic after treatment
Use the Contour Cube as a cosmetic after treatment, especially good as lip filler after treatment hack to reduce swelling. The first 24 – 48 hours after lip filler is when swelling peaks, and it’s so important to ice at home to reduce any swelling. The Contour Cube works its magic by causing vasoconstriction of blood vessels, effectively reducing blood flow and bruise formation.
Post work-out redness
If you have had a sweaty work-out and your face resembles that lovely beetroot colour, using the ice facial tool is an amazing way to reduce the redness and cool your skin naturally.
Anti inflammatory
Skin icing is the easiest way to bring inflammation down at home and the Contour Cube has you covered for this.
Shrinking Pores
The cold from skin icing can temporarily tighten pores and make them appear smaller.
Increased Circulation
Ice stimulates blood flow, giving your skin a healthy, rosy glow. It’s ideal for skin refreshment as it rejuvenates and refreshes tired or dull-looking skin.
Skin Primer
It also serves as a natural skin primer, to accelerate absorption of your moisturiser products into deeper layers of the skin, while making your makeup last longer.

How to have a safe ice facial
Since it’s your face you are dealing with here, it’s so important you take precautions to make sure you have a positive and safe ice facial experience:
- Keep it moving around your face, not just confinde to one spot.
- If you have sensitive skin, you might want to consider using a cloth to protect your face the first few times you try it and until your skin gets used to the feeling
- It’s recommended you keep your ice facial session to a maximum of one minute, and even limit to 30 second blocks and then give yourself a break before trying again.
